Scala Data Centers leads ISG study’s Colocation quadrant for the third consecutive year

Company is ranked at the highest level of the modality by the ISG Provider Lenstm survey for the Brazilian market

Scala Data Centers, a sustainable hyperscalable data centers platform, was named the Colocation leader in Brazil by the ISG Provider Lenstm 2022 study – Next-Gen Private/Hybrid Cloud – Data Center Services & Solutions. Ranked in the leading Colocation Quadrant for the third consecutive year, Scala further improved its position in “Competitive Strength” and “Portfolio Attractiveness” criteria when compared to the previous year.

The ISG analysis highlights important aspects of Scala’s commercial and operational strategy in which the company works in a customized way to ensure the hyperscaler market demands are met with excellence. The report also points out the ability to build modular data centers in a short space of time and the structured positioning to serve projects in the long term with more than 1 million square meters in properties reserved for future data centers.

ISG Provider Lenstm 2022 survey consists of a comparative assessment of service providers for the technology sector in four groups: Colocation (in which Scala Data Centers is inserted); Large Managed Services Accounts; Midsize Managed Services; and Managed Hosting. Within each of them, companies can be classified into one of four categories: Leader, Product Challenger, Contender and Market Challenger.

According to Marcos Peigo, CEO of Scala, the results of the ISG Provider Lens 2022 reflect the company’s assertive positioning in developing sustainable capacity focused on hyperscale clients, in a flexible and customized way and using innovation and sustainability as fundamental pillars. “Scala’s multi-build approach introduced the concept of reserved built-in capacity, bringing unprecedented scale to the Latin American market. Through unique buildings on our massive campi or on dedicated MiniPods FastDeploy at our sites edge, our clients have secured entry into new markets and sustainable growth for decades to come”, says the executive.

Pedro Bicudo Maschio, Executive Consultant at ISG and who led the research, reiterates that Scala’s flexibility to build and deliver customized data centers based on clients demands is a differentiator. “Few colocation companies are able to meet the needs of clients like these around the world, as they demand committed partners with the ability to finance infrastructure growth, which is not common. This is another aspect by which Scala is attractive to these companies”, says the analyst.
